Still More Snow

Yuck! I didn't think I'd get here, but I am way past officially sick of the snow. Maybe it's all the time indoors. Even though I don't usually utilize my option to go outside, at least I HAVE the option. Well... I HAD the option. Now there is no where to go. Wish I had purchased winter gear before the storm. Anyway, I'm bored at home checking facebook and blogger ever few minutes. I've watched movies galore, caught up on all my TV shows and have even started three different anime series to keep me entertained (though I'll admit the dishes still have been done and I am doing as little as possible in the cooking arena).

So I thought I would post. No pictures this time. Maybe tomorrow. I figured you must be getting sick of photo after photo of white stuff. Just take my last snow pictures and add another foot to them. That would be my pictures from today.

Joe tells me Maryland is in a state of emergency. Any unauthorized vehicles on the roads will be ticketed. D.C. is shut down. Our county is shut down. And I need to find something to do. So many options... maybe I'll start with taking another nap.

I hope you meant for that post to be amusing, since it came across quite like that to me.

Well, you could join a forum and chat away. Speaking of forum, which anime series did you start? :3

I'm watching Angelic Layer, Blood+ and Gun Sword. I'm not sure if I like series anime or movies better. While I LOVE the stories developed in a series, I'm leaning toward movies because I hate all the credits associated with watching 40+ episodes. Any movies you would recommend? I'm still a novice!

Wow! Can't believe you have so much snow. Feels like spring here. Not to rub it in or anything, I'm sure we'll get more. We're just in a thaw. So if you're bored, maybe I'll ask you a question you could research for me . . . on the topic of getting in shape. I am going to do trek this summer. I am terribly out of shape. What's the best preparation/routine to get ready to walk 28 miles in 2 days? And something I can do with the girls? I have been thinking about asking you since you're getting excited about working out. Is there a website you recommend?

P.S. I'm jealous you're all locked inside. I dream of a day I could be in your shoes. I have so many projects I want to work on that I dread sleeping every night. I wish we didn't need sleep!

Marla, I actually did run on Tuesday! I did the C-2-5K program on a treadmill at the gym. Then I continued with a light walk until my friend finished her running routine. It was awesome! I felt good and wasn't hurting afterward. :) Maybe I cant get out later today! At lest that is the hope.

Daisy, I'll research trek stuff. Off the top of my head I would recommend the Couch to 5K routine. I'm in week one and so far I LOVE it! I think if you can sustain a 3 mile jog/run you are probably going to be okay with a longer walk. And the program is only 9 weeks, so theoretically you could repeat the program and increase the time/distance in round 2. Like I said, I'll check around and get back to you!

Love you both!

I'm with you girl. I've gained five pounds from eating all of the baking we've been doing. We usually give it to other people, but how would we get it to anyone? We've dug and dug in the snow, but now we are done with how eternal it is. We've watched movies, played video games, and read a lot of books. I can't complain though I have got six little boyfriends to fill the days. I can't say it's boring.

Here are the exact words of what some people have recommended for you:

"Fullmetal Alchemist/Brotherhood - Anime series
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time - Anime movie
Spirited Away - Anime movie
Death Note - Anime series
BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad - Anime series
Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal - Anime OVAs
Trigun - Anime series

I guess it also depends on whether your friend is enjoying the ones she is currently watching. Anyway I just recommended different types of stuff."
----------------------------------
"I second these (Spirited Away - Anime movie, Death Note - Anime series, BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad - Anime series).
I recommend the English dub for BECK.

Also:

Perfect Blue (movie)
Blood: The Last Vampire OVA (since she's watching Blood+, after all) "
---------------------------------
"In addition to those:
Cowboy Bebop - Anime series + movie (Stand Alone movie, don't need to watch the series to follow it)
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind - Anime Movie
Gunblade - Anime series
Saiyuki (for the lulz) - Anime series"

(:

Sweet! Thanks, Djinn. I loved FullMetal Alchemist (even JOe watched that one!) and Cowboy Bebop. I'll be sure to check out the others. It's so helpful having a list instead of picking at random.

I'm just soooo glad you guys are okay over there. I still can't get over how much snow you got. Looks like we left just in time! LOL. Ok, sorry, that wasn't very nice was it?! Hoping the sun comes out soon and melts it fast so you can go swimming instead! :)
